Roewe TPMS Relearn Guide: Auto, OBD, and Stationary Procedures for 433MHz Sensors

Quick AnswerRoewe TPMS sensors can be relearned in three ways: auto relearn by driving, OBD relearn with a scan tool, or stationary relearn with a TPMS activation tool. You need the correct 433MHz pre-programmed sensor, a tool that can trigger it, and the vehicle’s TPMS relearn menu; after triggering, drive above the speed stated in the service instructions or follow the scan tool prompts.

Tools You Actually Need

  • TPMS activation/scan tool that supports Roewe and 433MHz sensors
  • OBD2 interface if you are doing an OBD relearn
  • Accurate tire pressure gauge and air compressor
  • Owner’s manual or service data for trigger order and reset speed
  • New clamp-in service kit if the original valve stem, nut, or seal is worn
  • Torque wrench set to the manufacturer’s clamp-in nut specification

Three Relearn Methods

Auto Relearn

Install the sensors, inflate tires to the door placard pressure, then start the vehicle. Some Roewe models learn new sensor IDs automatically after driving; others need the TPMS tool to wake each sensor first. If the light does not clear after the specified drive cycle, move to stationary or OBD relearn.

OBD Relearn

Connect an OBD2 tool that supports TPMS relearn. Select Roewe, then TPMS, then Relearn or ID Write. Follow the tool prompts. It may ask you to trigger each sensor in order. OBD relearn is the most reliable method when installing new sensors or when the auto relearn fails.

Stationary Relearn

Park the vehicle, turn ignition on, and enter relearn mode through the scan tool or dash procedure. Trigger the sensors in the order shown on the tool—usually left front, right front, right rear, left rear—and listen for the horn or chime after each one. Turn ignition off, restart, and verify the TPMS light is out. Some Roewe models still require an OBD tool to enter this mode.
